Movement Diagrams_Rediscovering the Bathroom_Overlayed

Previous work I did completed. Showing a week of movement diagrams over-layed on top of eachother - this visualizes the space within the bathroom that is used throughout a week.

Highlighting the areas that are occupied often - structure and occupancy is white. This diagram visually demonstrates that the sink is the most used area, followed by the shower and lastly the bath.

Here I am demonstrating the form in plan of the movement taking place within the bathroom. This diagram has no concept of time though, it is a flat form.

And once again, just showing the plan-form without the existing walls and structures. It is drawn purely from movement. It also suggests that it is quite an awkward form to negotiate - or that the bathroom is an awkward layout. This is reinforced in Re-configuring the Bathroom diagrams, where the conclusion is that the bathroom layout is as such because the products cannot fit in the room (the Bathroom) any other way.

Supervision w/ JP 16-9-11

Supervision Notes

Diary_Could keep diary in terms of time, length of time spent of time in shower (for example) is how much time I have to recall it in my diary. Relates to Perec Time.
Subjective side - emotions, face into water etc. (Prev. been of strict routine reflection).
Points are constant (bath, shower, taps etc), experience differs.

Experience Vs Form - End result_Do I want to show the experience of the bathroom for me, or a built bathroom? More interested in experience.
 - Model could be informed by video - relationship between the visual and sound. Or physical and sound etc.

Envisage end.

Systematized_Cause and Affect. Just design - crazy/out-there. Will I adopt past processes when I design?

Crit 2_How do I show it? Analysis investigations - what I have been doing. Detailed report on site - that is something I have and is parameters of my design. How big? Why am I using it? Etc.
Push yourself - why am I doing it? Why is this a masters project? Lots of reflection to find out the main cause/theme/issue.
Synthesize everything. Asserting a proposition, why is it important? What is the point?

Intensive week, sketching diagrams, envisage what I want at the end - will help for Crit 2. Start building model.

Aim: To visualize/3-dimensionalize the diagrams I have made - percieved in multiple ways so show how I mean.
Clarify in my head what the main issues are etc. Send JP Sketch Essay this arvo - potential discussion later on.
